Pettifers Hotel sits in peaceful countryside near Britain’s oldest town Malmesbury, a short distance from the capital of the Cotswold’s; Cirencester, and has welcomed many hundreds of guests through its doors over the years.
At the time of construction and its re-development to a hotel over 75 years ago the criteria for accessibility were different to those in place today, therefore some of the facilities may not meet current building requirements – however our commitment to improvement has led to many changes to improve accessibility and our plans for the future will improve accessibility wherever possible.

There is a level route from the accessible parking spaces, which are within 6 metres of the entrance door.
There is a slight gradient from the overflow car park of 1:22 leading past the reception entrance some 20 metres from the entrance door.
There are two sets of French doors 1650mm clear opening at the entrance.
Inside the property there are 2 small level adjustments.
The Lounge and Reception are situated in a flat open plan area.
There is 1 200mm step into Lounge Bar and from there a 1 200mm step toward restaurants
The Dining Room has 2 small steps access with a temporary ramp available on request.
Dining tables have at least 700mm clear space under them and all seating is without arm rests.
Mobile telephone signals on site are variable to good, and a lowered phone is also available at Reception on request.
Doors to the rooms are a minimum of 720 to 850-880mm clear opening PLUS 1 room offers double French door access – all rooms have plenty of clear floor space.
There are Flat screen televisions with Freeview in all the rooms.
All 18 rooms are en suite. 2 offer wheel-in showers within a Cotswold Stone Wet room, some may have a raised shower tray set slightly above the floor in a quadrant Cubicle, others offer a bath with shower over.
There are NO hoist facilities provided by the hotel.
Shower chairs, toilet supports/bars and raised toilet seats are all available upon request.
Access to the garden is via 2 x 11400mm clear opening French doors. There is level access to most of the garden with the exception to the terrace area which has 1 step - the gardens lie on a gradual gradient of up to 1:25 and are defined by gravel paths.
